Clinical Endocrinology 2017

Saturday, March 25, 2017 – Wednesday, March 29, 2017

Boston Fairmont Copley Plaza
Boston, Massachusetts

A faculty of over 40 speakers, primarily Harvard Medical School faculty and several select outside experts, chosen for their recognized educational and communication skills, present the most up to date, evidence-based approach to endocrine problems such as osteoporosis, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, pituitary tumors, menopause, thyroid abnormalities, and reproductive dysfunction, as well as a broad spectrum of other clinical problems in endocrinology. Each of the 5 days is organized around one of the major topics to be covered: pituitary disease on Saturday, diabetes, obesity and lipid disorders on Sunday, calcium, bone and osteoporosis on Monday, reproductive and adrenal disorders on Tuesday and thyroid disease on Wednesday. Teaching methods include didactic lectures and interactive case studies offered as small evening problem sessions.

Practice gaps that will be addressed include the lack of application of published findings, including clinical guidelines, to patients with endocrine disorders such as osteoporosis and diabetes. Educational needs that will be met are to provide busy endocrine and primary care physicians in practice with evidence-based clinical updates on endocrine disorders based on recent publications. This will include discussion of current clinical guidelines about diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disorders encountered in clinical practice.
