Overview

This course offers a broad overview of many areas of dermatopathology presented by Harvard Medical School faculty and selected guest faculty with expertise in the subject matter. With many gaps in patient satisfaction and several unique challenges to clinicians in the field of dermatopathology, this course is designed to update both academic and practicing pathologists, dermatologists, dermatopathologists, and others in the community with new advances in dermatopathology, especially in melanocytic lesions, squamous lesions, lymphoid lesions, soft tissue lesions, and inflammatory dermatoses. We also aim to provide aids in diagnosis based on conventional morphologic analysis as well as updates on new techniques such as immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology to the extent that they bear on establishing the correct diagnosis. The program features conventional didactic lectures with frequent discussion periods and interactive case-based sessions with faculty.
