Overview

Integrated care is a delivery model that combines medical and behavioral healthcare to more fully address the problems that patients experience. We will provide an overview of integrated models of care, the populations served, essential skills needed, and methods to create effective, integrated teams. The role of each team member will be emphasized and how primary care and mental health members can work together will be illustrated. The interactive educational format will consist of case studies, panel discussions, individual lectures, and Q&A. This course is intended for mental health and health practitioners, healthcare administrators, policy makers, and others interested in improved healthcare value through care coordination and improved clinical outcomes.
