Legacy and MentorshipCerebrovascular and skull base diseases are undergoing a revolution in treatment options — making clinical decisions ever more challenging in the contemporary era. We continue the tradition of introspection, innovation, and debate in the annual Brigham and Women’s Hospital Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Symposium. Fueled by a collective mandate to improve the care provided to patients and their long-term outcomes, creative minds and masters in cerebrovascular and skull base surgery, as well as affiliated fields, will congregate in a unified setting to probe fundamental questions in neurosurgery: What to do? How have we changed, as fueled by experience? Where can we go next? How do we distill and carry forth the legacy learned from our mentors within our careers and lives? Audience members and expert panelists alike will be invited to participate in the reflection of successes, failures, and concrete areas for improvement through an admixture of didactics, case presentations, and interactive discussions. Registration is FREE for all trainees and attendees not seeking CME credit. We look forward to welcoming old colleagues, meeting new friends, and becoming better together. Please join us at The Harvard Club of Boston on Saturday, October 5, 2019!Sincerely,Ali Sultan, MD Nirav Patel, MD Wenya Linda Bi, MD, PhD Ossama Al-Mefty, MD
