Adoption of recent innovations and new algorithms in the practice of internal medicine enables significantly improved diagnosis, treatment, and clinical outcomes. Given the demands placed on the practicing clinician, it is increasingly difficult to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of internal medicine. For this reason, we developed the “Innovations and New Practices in Internal Medicine” program. This course provides an intensive review of advances in internal medicine along with guidance on how to incorporate these new developments into everyday clinical practice. The educational experience is interactive and fast paced, draws upon real-life cases, and is designed and led by Harvard Medical School clinical faculty–leaders in their respective fields—who are instrumental in bringing these innovations to clinical practice.
