Mental Wellness for Health Professionals: COVID-19 Response and Strategies for the Future

As the number of individuals and communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic continues to climb, ongoing stress and uncertainty threatens the mental health and wellbeing of people worldwide. A second wave of global concern has already begun to swell and evidence-informed action is needed to coordinate an effective mental health response.

“It is now crystal clear that mental health needs must be treated as a core element of our response to and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic”
-- Dr. Tedros Adhanom Gehbreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization

Acknowledging the wide spread emotional toll of the COVID-19 pandemic, a diverse array of experts will provide insight on how to bridge science and practice across different settings. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn from individuals on the frontlines of treating mental health during the current pandemic.
